I would suggest Progressive, I just switched to them from Esurance and my premium is about half of what it was with Esurance, and the coverage is the same, even a little better in some categories. The fact you are a new driver will not hurt you, if anything, it will HELP you, since you will not have any violations that will up the price of your insurance. In addition to this, you are 26, most isurance dropas at age 25, so you should find a decend price, I would suggest checking out Progressive. But whatever you do, shop around a bit. If you purchase renters insurance or homeowners insurance, some companies will give you a discount if you place them both with the same carrier. So, call an independent agent for a quote, and then compare that to the direct insurance companies like Allstate, State Farm, etc.
